This discussion will focus on the energy transition to meet international climate commitments, including net-zero targets. It will explore how this transition can enhance environmental sustainability while ensuring energy security. Workforce Development to Support Indonesia Emas 2045:
Green jobs are essential in supporting the green economy for Indonesia Emas 2045. However, creating environmentally friendly job opportunities in Indonesia comes with several challenges. Education and awareness of green jobs must be enhanced to increase participation and support from various stakeholders. This discussion will focus on strategies to build a skilled and adaptable workforce to support the transition to a green economy for Indonesia Emas 2045. It will explore how human capital development can equip workers with the skills needed for sustainable industries and green jobs.

Sustainable Investments for Green Economy Ecosystem in Indonesia:
Sustainable investments are key to advancing Indonesia’s green economy and achieving the goals of Indonesia Emas 2045. This session will highlight how such investments fosters value-added downstream industries, attract long-term quality capital, and strengthen economic resilience. It will also explore how Danantara, a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) in Indonesia, collaborates with state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) to de-risk and scale up green investments, while aligning with national development priorities. It will also highlight the coordination between the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry; and Danantara to mobilize sustainable finance, align investment with national priorities, and ensure that both public and private capital work in synergy to support Indonesia’s green economy and energy transition goals.
